Donate.

Founded in 2010, the Gloucester Writers Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Everything we do is possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters and friends on Cape Ann and beyond.

The majority of our annual operating funds come from individual donors—writers and artists, dedicated audience members, workshop attendees, friends old and new who support our mission. Thank you.

Nearly every dollar raised goes directly back into programs that serve Gloucester and greater Cape Ann year-round. Consider making your donation a recurring gift!

Volunteer.

Volunteers make everything happen. Our Fish Tales Storytellers-in-Residence and storytellers? Volunteers. Graphic designers? Volunteers. Our Board? Volunteers! From working with students on college essays to hosting programs and writing grants, volunteers are at the heart of all we do at the GWC.

Want to join us? Reach out to our manager, Ruth Sullivan, to start a conversation about volunteering. We are especially eager to connect with people experienced in grant-writing!

Join Our Sponsors + Partners.

GWC sponsors commit financial and/or in-kind resources that support specific programs and projects. Many of our sponsors are businesses in our community, and we are grateful to them for their generosity!

Through partnership with organizations on Cape Ann and north of Boston, the Writers Center is able to collaborate to realize ambitious projects, reach new and critical audiences, and explore interdisciplinary possibilities in the arts.
