Join us for a celebration of the life and work of poet Gerrit Lansing (1928-2018).
Born in Albany, raised in Ohio, Lansing came to the Boston area to study at Harvard, alongside classmates including Edward Gorey and Frank O’Hara. Lansing first moved to Gloucester at the invitation of John Hays Hammond, Jr. Brilliantly intelligent, his poetry reveals lifelong explorations of the esoteric, metaphysical, philosophical, and lyrical.
